I took this photo during the first snowfall of the season. It was our first winter in northern Sweden and we didn’t know what to expect. Until then we had never experienced the real winter, so we made a trip outside the city wearing only jeans and light jackets. Taking pictures in such cold turned out to be a huge challenge. It literally took a moment outside the car for me to become all frozen and stiff. It was so cold that we couldn’t even heat up coffee on a portable burner we had taken along. 

Anyway, the picture was worth it. That’s exactly how the Norrland feels.
